Elizabeth Valenta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful Mom and Grammy, Elizabeth Margaret Anne (Billet) Valenta, 95, on Friday, November 10th. Predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Alfred Valenta Jr. parents Earl and Elizabeth Billet and her brother, Jack (Sonny) Billet. She is survived by her sister Jo Ann Miller, and her cherished nieces and nephew Jacqueline Billet, Rob and Mary Miller, and Stephanie Tullis. Betty leaves behind her children, Janet (Ed) Hudock, Steven (Linda), Richard (Rachel) and Charles Valenta. Grammy “Betty Boop” leaves grandchildren Ted Hudock, Heather Mapstone, Sean (Dawn) and Mark Valenta, Suzanne (Chad) Ganoung, Jill (Mike) Schoettlin, Jeff (Shannon) Valenta , and Vincent Gennett. Her twelve great grandchildren Hannah, Drew, Madison, Conor, Brooklyn, Katie, Ashley, Hunter, Gage, Emmy, Liam and JJ. Mom loved shopping, hot fudge sundaes, playing cards and her wonderful farm on Ross Hill Rd in Vestal which was always decorated for the holidays. She was very proud of graduating third in her class at Vestal Central High school. Thank you so much Mom for being a great role model to us all. God bless, and we will always remember and miss you! Thank you to Ideal Nursing Home; Rose Court staff, for your wonderful care of Betty. She loved you all! In memory of mom, please do something fun or silly. She would love that.
