Ella Rose Snyder

Ella Rose Hunter Snyder, 80, of Endicott crossed over on November 11, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents Gertrude M. and Ray H. Hunter and sister in law Mary Alice Hunter. Ella was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 15, 1933. She is survived by her brother Charles F. Hunter, Miami Springs, FL; sons Allan G. Snyder, Jr. (Sheila), Ithaca, NY and Bruce G. Snyder (Marsha), Vestal, NY; her grandchildren Daniel G. Snyder and Jessica P. Snyder (Barry), Vestal, NY; Matthew T. Gordon, Cincinnati, OH, Chloe and Mikaela Snyder, Ithaca, NY; great grandchildren Ethan D. and Noah E. Hill, Vestal, NY; her former husband Allan G. Snyder, Sr., Endicott, NY and last but not least her beloved cat Jewel. Ella worked for Dorothy’s Natural Food Shop for 15 years, JC Penney, Health Beat Natural Foods, Eckerd Drugs and Maine-Endwell High School. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed feeding the birds, squirrels and stray cats. Ella loved all animals.
Services will be held Saturday 2 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Daniel Eddings officiating. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home from 12 pm until time of service at 2 pm.
