Elsie Cromie

Elsie M Cromie, 78, passed away after an extended illness on February 26, 2017 peacefully at the Mercy House, surrounded by her loving family. Elsie was born October 16, 1938, in Pittsburgh, PA. She is predeceased by her parents Willibald and Mary Rosenberger and her older brother Willibald. Elsie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Albert. She was a wonderful Mother to four sons, Daniel, Rochester NY, Michael (Loretta), Cary NC, Kevin (Theresa) Charlotte NC and Timothy (Janine), Louisville CO. Elsie was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Michael (Collins), Lauren, Allison, Emily, Ella and Nathan. Elsie was an active member of Our Lady of Good Council Church in Endicott. She was proud of her 50 year anniversary within the Church’s Christian Mother’s Altar Rosary Society and the many friends she made over the years. Elsie’s faith in her Lord was strong and it reflected in the way she treated and respected others. Elsie was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed knitting and crocheting along with spending time with her family.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, March 4th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott. Burial service will follow at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell. The family will receive friends at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott on Friday March 3rd from 4-7 pm.
