Engelbert “Bert” Kodey

Engelbert (Bert) Kodey, 92 of Endwell, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years Irene; parents; Cyril and Rosemary; brothers Stan (Lorraine) and Cyril (June) and sisters Lena (Clem) Carroll and Anne (Stanley) Ziemba. He is survived by a daughter Terri Lyn; a son and daughter in law Michael and Tresa; grandson Austin; a brother and sisters in law Joseph (Betty) Kodey and Mary Mahoney; also several nieces; nephews and cousins. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott, a retired IBM Corp employee and a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the US Army. After retirement Bert enjoyed working in the family business, Sunny Hill Tree Farm, hunting outings with his son and grandson, his daylong fishing trips with his brother Stanley and golf cart rides with his beloved companions Deuce and Ruby.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 11 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 207 Hayes Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at church Thursday from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am.
