Esther Kenien, 92, of Johnson City, NY was received into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George, who she joins in joy and love and light. She was also predeceased by her parents Mary and Elias Ferris, six brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her loving children, Linda (Bill) Brock, Carol (Jim) Gallagher and Donna (Neil) Knasiak and her precious grandchildren, Michael Brock, Devin (Emily) Brock, Kaitlin and Colin Gallagher (Omar Mack), Phillip (Carol) Knasiak and Sophia Knasiak and great grandchildren, George, Madelynn, Caedyn and Tegan Brock.

She also had many friends with whom she maintained daily, loving, prayerful relationships, most recently with her friends at Hilltop Retirement Campus.
She was a member of the Endwell United Methodist Church for 66 years. She was active in the WSCS, which later became the United Methodist Women. She was an active member of the hospitality ministry at Endwell, cooking and baking for the annual bazaar (her fruitcake and quince preserves were always a hit!), mercy meals, bake sales and finally, her last ministry was cooking and serving for the Lord’s Table at Endwell UMC.
Esther led by example with her lifelong commitment to healthy living and physical fitness.
She was mom, Sitti, Im-Sitti, Aunt Esther, Sitti E. and being Mrs. Kenien, which was her greatest joy. She lived her life in service to her family with God as her guide.
And now, well done good and faithful daughter. Enjoy your rest, may you soar with the angels and dance with your George.
