After a time, they relocated to Vestal, NY where they became longtime residents and raised their six children.
Ethel was an active member of the Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church in Vestal. where she served as a choir member, cantor, eucharistic minister and as the Director of Religious Education for many years. She was also a longstanding member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Ethel was known for her lovely soprano voice and was often asked to sing at weddings, funerals, and celebrations of life. She donated her time and talents for arts and crafts to the annual church bazaar where her beautiful pinecone wreaths were the most sought-after items.
But her real loves were her family. Ethel devoted countless hours to attending her children’s and grandchildren’s various events.
