Ethel J. Nosal

Ethel J. Nosal, 100, passed away peacefully Sunday September 9, 2012. She was born June 15, 1912, to the late John and Constance Dushko. Ethel was predeceased by her husband, John P. Nosal Sr. in 2000. She is survived by her son, John P. Nosal Jr. and his wife, Jean of Owego; and a daughter, Janet and her husband, CR of Pultneyville, NY; her grandchildren, John A. and wife, Julie of Midland, MI, David E. and Rhonda of Leonard, TX, Lori and Brad Weeden of Andover, MA and Nannette and Philip Myers Smithville Flats; and nine great grandchildren. Ethel is also survived by a brother, Leo Dushko, Moosic, PA and a brother-in-law, Joe Nosal; and several nieces and nephews. Ethel worked at the Red Cross Blood Bank for 25 years, she was the Club Champion at the IBM Country Club Women’s League and she was a member of the Martha Washington Chapter of the Eastern Star for 75 years. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Willow Point South 3rd floor for their care and love shown to Ethel through the years. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 2 pm from the Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd, Endwell, with Reverend Jose Valencia officiating. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery Endwell. The family will receive friends at church on Thursday from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Endwell United Methodist Church or McKendree United Methodist Church Candor, NY.
