Eugene Arnold

Eugene Arnold 81, of Vestal passed away peacefully at home, in the early morning of July 17, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Jessie Arnold, brother and sister in law, Jack and Lois Arnold and mother and father in law, Joseph and Edna Strole. He is survived and missed so much by his loving wife of 59 years, Marlene, daughter and son in law Melissa and Kevin McCann of Ballston Spa, NY, Jeffrey P. Arnold of Wilmington, NC, Grandchildren, Kelly and Josh Hite of Schenectady, NY, Morgan, Liam and Lindsay McCann, all of Ballston Spa, Sister Beverly Frost of Binghamton, NY and Dr. David and Katherine Bryant of SC. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church and retired from I.B.M. Endicott after many years of service as a Senior Programmer. He loved golf and could be found daily at Traditions at the Glen. He received his 1st hole in one in 2015 and was so proud of this accomplishment. He also was an avid country line dancer. He received much joy from dancing with his many friends of the American Legion and their enduring friendships meant a lot to him. He dedicated his life to the Lord and he served his church faithfully by being a lay Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Acolyte and Usher for many years. He also was responsible for many renovation projects at the church.

The family will receive friends at St. Andrew’s Church, 400 W. Wendell St., Endicott, NY. on Friday August 12th from 10 am until the time of the memorial service at 11 am.
