Eugene F. Roma died on July 17, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Gene is survived by Grace, his wife of 55 years, his daughters, Christine Roma and Leslie Roma, his sons, Gene Roma and Michael Roma, his two daughters-in-law, Susan Inneo Roma and Kelly Telfer Roma, and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Liam, Michael and Harper Roma. Gene is also survived by his brother and sisters in law, Anthony Roma, Mary Roma, nieces and nephews Barry and Lori Roma and family, Loretta and Richard Nusman and family, Anita and Karl Love and family, Anthony and Kathy Roma and family, Maria and Christopher Roma, Lauren and Ben Antanaitis and family, Janine and Mike Bryant and family and Jackie and Jaime Keel and family. Predeceasing Gene are his parents Esther and Felix Roma, Angie and Leo Eagen, Charles Green, brother-in-law, Tom Green, nephew Larry Roma and niece Susan Mosher. A very special thank you to the staff of Susquehanna Nursing Home, and God bless you all for your ongoing love and support at such a sad time. We are grateful to Nick Serafini and drivers for their services, “Thanks for the rides”, as well as “Jimmy O” for Sunday communion and special chats. Finally, we bid Gene goodbye to reunite with those special friends who have gone before him and anxiously await him with open arms; Charlie Zades, James Wasley, Jimmy Matthews, Ferris Akel, Tom Ellis, Tom Francavillo, Arsen Poochigian, Bill Gargano, Buddy Koffman, Lexie Cerroni, Andy Mancini, Tony Milasi, and Joe DePaolo.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Friday from 4-7 pm. Donations in Gene’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice., St. Anthony’s Food Pantry (no one should ever be hungry), or St. Francis Ministry c/o Sister Anisia Muthoni.
