Evelyn J. Wright

Evelyn J. Wright, of Endicott, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012.She was born on January 12, 1927 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of Clinton and Frances Shaffer.She was also pre deceased by her husband of 56 years John T. Wright in 2008; a sister Lois Divet and a son in law Gerry Sherwood.Evelyn is survived by her children Carol Meyers; Barbara (Aaron) Ball; John (Karen) Wright and Patricia Sherwood, as well as nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.She is also survived by a sister Jean Sullivan and a brother Don Shaffer. Evelyn worked at General Electric in Johnson City before leaving to raise her family.She enjoyed walking, going out to dinner, and her family.She was a wonderful mom, had a great sense of humor, and remarkable strength.The family wishes to thank Lourdes Hospice for their loving care. In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes a private family service will be held.
