Florante “Dante” Tinio

Dr. Florante (Dante) Tinio, 73, passed away on December 3, 2016 in Binghamton, NY. Dr. Tinio was born August 25, 1943 in the Philippines to Felipe and Maria Luz Tinio. After moving to Binghamton in 1977, Dr. Tinio trained as a psychiatrist and practiced at Binghamton Psychiatric Center, Catholic Charities, Broome County Correctional Facility, Addiction Center-Broome County, and Tioga County Mental Health. In his spare time, he enjoyed the company of his family and friends and traveling around the world. He is survived by his wife, Corazon del Rosario Tinio; mother, Maria Luz Tinio; four sons; two daughters-in-law; and a granddaughter.

Funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Thursday from 3-7 pm and Friday from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
