Florence Evangelisti

Florence H. Evangelisti, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the Ideal Senior Living Center, Endicott. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Evangelisti. She is survived by her children, a daughter, Jo Ann Swetland, Endicott; Wayne and Pat Swetland, Palmyra, PA; Frank and Jan Evangelisti, Windsor and David and Julie Evangelisti, Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Timothy and Benjamin Swetland; Joseph Evangelisti and Gian; Sophia; and Dominic Evangelisti; a sister and several nieces and nephews. Florence was a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother. She was known for her quick wit, friendly nature, plentiful stories, abundant patience, creative spirit, talent for painting, interest in birding and nature, love of travel, and devotion to the New York Yankees.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Saturday from 3-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, well wishers are asked to make a donation to Meals on Wheels of Western Broome, 705 West Main Street, Endicott, NY 13760.
