Frances Sheldon

Frances Jesionowski Polmateer Sheldon, 96, of Endwell, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Sheldon; parents Stanislaus and Hedwig Jesionowski; brothers Alfred; Richard; Edmund and infant twins joseph and Leo; sisters Mary; Agnes and Anna. She is survived by her son Franklin (Frances Argento) Polmateer; grandchildren David (Ellen) Polmateer and Linda (Daniel) Pierce; great grandchildren Amanda; Joseph; Kyle and Julia; also several nieces; nephews and cousins. She was a member of Church of the Holy Family, Endwell and was a former member of Christ the King Church, Endwell, where she was active in the Women’s Guild, Lenten Fish Fry and funeral luncheons. She was a former employee of ANSCO. Frances was awarded the 1990 Senior Star Bowler by the Women’s Bowling Association and enjoyed going to the National and State Tournaments. She was the last one born, last in that generation which is now closed. The family would like to thank the staff of the Marion Apartments, especially Laura and her dog Moochie.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Family at 10 am. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Thursday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Mercy House, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell, NY 13760.
