Frank J. Neschleba

December 29, 1926 — October 22, 2012

Frank J. Neschleba, 85, of Endwell NY went to be with the Lord on Monday October 22, 2012. He is survived by his wife Fran with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on October 25, three children and two grandchildren; daughter Lori and Vincent Accardi of Vestal NY; son Mark and Maida Neschleba of Endicott NY; son Steven Neschleba of Raleigh NC; granddaughters Darcy Accardi of Baltimore MD and Brittany Accardi of St. Louis MO; brothers Robert and Bonnie Nejeschleba of Folsom CA; Joseph and Bonnie Nejeschleba of Charlotte NC; Edward and Annette Nejeschleba of Endwell NY; sisters Mary Haigh of Endicott NY; Carol and Gerald Cady of Endwell NY; and Jenny and Charlie DeGregorio of Vestal NY; Martha and John Kovach of Cato NY; sisters and brothers in law John Duffek of Owego NY; Frank and Donna Duffek of Endicott NY; Millie Breckner of Concord NC; Betty Shuta of Brackney PA; Jenny and Frank Juodaitis of Endwell NY; Marge and John Smith of Endicott NY; Steve and Pat Duffek of Owego NY and Mary Andrews of Nevada; many nieces and nephews and friends. A naturalized citizen, Frank immigrated to the US from Czechoslovakia at the age of 2. Frank was a veteran of WWII where he served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Church Endicott where he helped with bazaars for many years. Frank retired after 34 years at P andC Family Foods where he worked as a meat cutter and member of Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was famous for his perfectly tended garden, green thumb and beautiful tomatoes. Frank will be dearly missed by all but especially by his beloved wife Fran; theirs was a marriage to aspire to and they were never far apart in life. As father and grandfather, he was always there to read a story, answer a question or help out in the many predicaments placed before him. The family would like to thank Dr. John Perry of Endwell Family Physicians, Tracey and Dr. Khalid Sethi and the staff of Wilson’s North Tower 2 for the wonderful and loving care they gave to Frank. His spirit will live on in all he touched and in all he knew but especially in his family whom he gifted with his love of life and laughter. A celebration of his life will take place as funeral services are held Saturday, 9:30 AM from the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10 am. Burial will be at Riverhurst Cemetery, 2500 East Main St. Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday 6 to 9 pm. Expressions of sympathy in Frank’s memory may be made to Catholic Charities of Broome County, 232 Main Street, Binghamton NY 13905 or to Mom’s House, 770 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City NY 13790.
