Fred Krause, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Monday November 27, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Anneliese Krause, and his youngest brother, Paul Krause. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Shirley, and his four children, Nicole Quillin (Sean) of Plano, TX, Ashlee Fish (Ty) of Maine, NY, Warner Krause (Jamie) of Maple Valley, WA, and Chandler Krause of Gulf Shores, AL. He was affectionately known as “Papa” to many of his grandchildren including Coriana, Bryden, Aiden, Camden, Graysen and Jane. He is survived by his older brother, Bernd Krause (Mary Lou) of Maine, NY and many nieces and nephews. Fred was employed at Kellogg & Kimsey as a Project Superintendent for commercial construction and enjoyed traveling to new destinations close to any beach. Fred was always known as being a hard worker. His coworkers have many fond memories of him and how he shared his knowledge and years of experience. He had a warm and caring personality as well as a contagious laugh. Fred was always the life of the party; you could always find him at the Maine Oktoberfest and Maine Endwell sporting events. He graduated from Maine-Endwell High School class of 1975 and his classmates still brought him joy. Fred was everyone’s biggest fan, always rooting for the underdog whether it was sports or life. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and sitting by the camp fire with a cold beer. On his days off of work he enjoyed golfing with family and playing scratch offs waiting for his big retirement win and his new yellow corvette. He looked forward to his daily phone calls with Gigi. Fred most enjoyed watching his children succeed and pursue their dreams wherever in the world it took them. He was a truly loving husband, father, brother, papa, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.
Funeral Services for Fred will be held on Thursday, December 7th at 4 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until Service time at 4 pm.
