Garth Franklin

Garth B. Franklin 81, born in McKeesport, PA, passed away on November 18, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents Vernon and Catherine Franklin, two brothers Vernon Jr. and David and sister Ella Mae Gipson and his two brothers-in-law William Gipson and Ray Jones. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Erifilie, two sons and daughter-in-law. Jason Franklin and Matthew (Monica) Franklin and three grandchildren that he adored, Gisele, Marcelo and Rafael. He is also survived by his two sisters Patricia (Dennis) Cherry and Linda Jones, sister-in-law Maria “Kula” Sismanoglu and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Garth served in the United States Navy and retired after 30 years from IBM Endicott as a Programmer.
Funeral Services will be held 12 pm Tuesday at the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 am until service time at 12 pm. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Garth’s memory to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
