George Cardone 94 of Endwell, formerly of Vestal passed away on Friday August 26 2022. He was predeceased by his wife Dawn Cardone. He is survived by his son John Cardone ,Alexandria VA, and his three daughters Barbara Cardone, Bangor ME, Lisa O’Connor, Rexford NY, and Angela Walsh, Huntington NY. George is also survived by his grandchildren Lydia, Thomas, James, Calvin, Kristin, Sam, and Nicole.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott and former member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church Vestal.
George earned a B.S. in Education from Lebanon Valley College and a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Syracuse University. He worked for the Union Endicott School district for over 30 years as a teacher, coach, and principal before retiring in 1984.
An active member of the community, George served on the board of directors of several organizations and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer for many years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing golf and bridge and traveling with Dawn. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous father and papa.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 22nd at 12 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Expressions of sympathy in George’s memory may be made to Meals on Wheels of Western Broome or St. Anthony of Padua Church Food Pantry.
