George Thomas Erle (10/11/49 – 8/9/15) passed peacefully after a valiant fight against an infection that overwhelmed his body but not his determined spirit. George’s career began with selling Electrolux vacuum cleaners door-to-door, but soon found his niche in the car business working seven years for Roger Kresge VW. He gained much respect for his leadership qualities during his 30 years at Miller Motors and 4 years at Serafini Nissan Volvo. George was an avid Yankee Fan and a huge advocate for UE Baseball during the years his sons played. George kept the tradition of the “Brothers-and-Brothers-in-Law Annual Trip to Las Vegas” for 35 plus years. George especially enjoyed providing his extended family with a beautiful home in which to gather during holidays, and relished the vacations spent in his little Florida villa. George and Suzanne met at a dance, and it was love at first sight for the two Beatles fans. They married young with little money but a whole lot of love, their theme song being “Long and Winding Road.” Dallas and Colby were the pride of his life, and his boys had an unshakable faith in their dad’s strength of mind, body, and soul. He leaves them a father’s love and a legacy of life lessons to pass on to his grandchildren. George was predeceased by his treasured mother, Alta (White) Erle; brothers, William and Gerald; beloved father-in-law Andrew Barvinchak; and nephews, Joseph Mannino and Marty Bowen. George is survived by his wife Suzanne (Barvinchak), their children Dallas (Catherine) and Colby (Melanie), and his grandchildren Kayleigh and Easton. He also is survived by siblings Patricia Firestine, Robert Jr. (Supatra), Jackie Weaver, Linda Bowen, Constance Rossi, and Steve (Tina); loving mother-in-law Blanche Barvinchak; and sisters-in-law Caryl Ann Mannino (John), Louise Barvinchak, and Diane Erle. Throughout the years George was blessed with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, having a special relationship with Johnny and Shanna. These kids will always remember “the pinchers.”
