My beloved brother George Koudounis left us on January 12, 2023. Born in Sparta Greece in 1953, he immigrated to the United States in 1969 with his family.
He is survived by his sister Jane Lazaros; and brother Konstantinos Koudounis.
He also leaves behind his nephews Nick (Dominique) Lazaros and their son Alex; Peter (Konstantina) Lazaros and their children Ioanna, Annoula, Elena; niece Eva (Jason) Hopf and their children Yanni, Thano, Olympia.
He is also survived by lifelong friend Pat Carvelas; as well as numerous other friends and family near and far.
George lived in Astoria, Queens for many years before returning to the area. He could be remembered for working with his sister and family at Jane’s Diner in Conklin, NY. George could be seen every night at Dunkin Donuts spending time with his friends. He loved his music, in particular playing the Bouzouki. George was an animal lover.
