George Silvestri

George Silvestri, 88, of Endicott, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Friday, August 15, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents Lorenzo and Guglielma; brother and sister in law Sam and Serita; father in law and mother in law Ettore and Carmella Fiacco; brother in law and sister in law Dario and Natalina Fiacco and nephew John Fiacco. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Agnes; son Dr. Mario G. Silvestri and companion Toni; grandson Lorenzo and companion Olivia; also several nieces; nephews and cousins both in America and Italy, including special nephew Gino and Diane Fiacco. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott; a retired laborer with Local 7; member of the Independent Mutual Aid Society. George was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed his days on Oneida Lake.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from 4-7 pm.
