Gerald Rackett

Geraldine E. Rackett, 91, a longtime resident of Endicott, NY, passed away after an extended illness at Good Shepard Village Saturday morning, July 23, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents Herman and Hazel McKitrick; her loving husband Howard; sons Howard Jr. and Russell; her granddaughter whom she raised as her own Laurie Dyer Kress; brothers John, Doyle and Dane McKitrick; sisters Helen Williams, Coy Steen, and Vivian Terzi. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Frank Salmieri; son and daughter-in-law David and Jackie Rackett; her granddaughter whom she raised as her own Vicky Dyer Mone; remaining grandchildren David Rackett and Laurie Griffis, Kelly and Brad Waterman and Claudette Hayes; sister Margaret Garren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Gerry was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother, who was a caregiver to many family members her whole life. She was a retired IBM employee.

Funeral and Interment Services will be held Wednesday 6 pm from The Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott with the Reverend Daniel Eddings pastor of Community Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Wednesday 4-6 pm.
