Gloria A Salamida

Gloria A. Salamida, 97, passed away Friday, January 10th,2025 at Ideal Senior Living Center. She was predeceased by her spouse, Domenic P. Salamida, parents, Concetta, and Faust Graziani, two sisters, Clemy (Carmen) Bassano, and Mary (Corrado) Torrico. She is survived by daughters, Dawn (Thomas) Wilson, Rosanne Salamida, and Diane (Timothy) Traver, 6 grandchildren, Thomas (Anna) Adria, Kori (Jason) Steven (Amy), Neil and Kevin and 5 great grandchildren, Aurora, Liliana, Ivy, Nolan, and Collin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and an extended family.
She was a graduate of Charles S. Wilson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and dedicated her life to nursing. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal, NY.
Gloria made the best sauce and meatballs, and all of her cooking was delicious and at family dinners food was plentiful. Sunday dinners were always a great joy and gathering for the family.
The family would like to thank Ideal Senior Living Center and all staff for the excellent care she received during the 14 years she was a member of their family.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 17 at 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal. Entombment will be privately held at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends Friday at church from 9:30 am until Mass time at 10:30 am.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
