It is with a sad heart we announce the passing of Gloria Elizabeth (Brown) Small, age 94, while at Mercy House, on March 10, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan Small, and her granddaughter, Chiara Liburdi. She was also predeceased by her parents Wayland and Elizabeth (Saddlemire) Brown and siblings Douglas and Wayland Brown.
She is survived by her daughters Denise (James) Hadamik, Debra Liburdi, Dawn Small and her husband Peter Hahlin; grandchildren Lee (VJ) Morris, Cicely Hagin, Jessica (Joseph) Holley, Erica Liburdi; great grandchildren Kymora Wang, Caleb Harrington, Cruz Liburdi, Khloe Bragg, Austin Morris, Riley Morris. She is also survived by her sisters and brother.
Gloria was a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants and the Tuscarora Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Gloria was a kind and gentle person, a loving mother and grandmother, and was always there for her family. She loved music and singing and the beauty of nature. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the simple pleasures of life. She loved and cared for each and every pet she had over the years, treating them with the same kindness she did with all of us. We love you, Mother, and will miss your loving hugs and beautiful smile that seemed to light up the world. You were a gentle spirit in this life.
A funeral service for Gloria will be held at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11 am. The family will receive friends from 10–11 am prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in Gloria's memory to: Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
