Hazel Bailey

Hazel I. (Persley) Bailey age 94 of the Villages, FL and formerly of Binghamton, NY passed away at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, NY on February 5th, 2017 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick) of 73 years, her daughter Donna Bailey Byrne, grandson Roger Byrne, siblings, Philip Persley, Genevieve Persley and Margaret Herman. She is survived by her son Richard (Helen) of Grand Island NY, grandchildren Samantha Ryan, Paige Bailey, Travis Bailey and Laurie Byrne Accardo. Additionally she is survived by great grandchildren, Bailey and Quinn Ryan and Anthony Accardo, as well as nieces Kristen Persley, Jean (Herman) Hensler and nephew Peter Herman (Debbie). Hazel graduated from High School at age 16, attended secretarial school and worked in several secretarial positions, finally retiring from Columbian Mutual Life where she had been employed as an Executive Secretary for many years. Eventually she relocated with her husband to the Villages, FL where she enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11 am at Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice
