Helen Cargill

Helen Louise Cargill of Endwell, N.Y. passed away on February 2, 2023 at the age of 85. Helen was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on November 16, 1937. She was predeceased by her father Harold Smith, mother Rita (Leonard) Smith, sisters, Rita Wiggins and Myrtle Peles and brother, Harry Smith. Helen is survived by her 2 children Jerrold (Kim) Cargill Jr. and Cindy Cargill (Chris Shaner), her 8 grandchildren Shawna, Erica, Dina, Derek, Dustin, Jared, Desiree, Brittany and 19 great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by her 2 sisters Wanda Warren and Margie (John) Monaco and several nieces and nephews. Helen was very devoted and proud of her family. She loved to bowl back in the day and was a devoted employee and coach at Ideal Lanes for over 50 years. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. Her bright blue eyes and infectious smile could light up any room. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Calling hours will be Wednesday February 8, 2023 from 4pm-7pm at Allen Memorial Home.
Services will be held Thursday 11 am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Helen’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Vestal Park Rehabilitation Center.
