Helen Carr

Helen Harris Carr passed into Heaven on December 24, 2013 at Vestal Park Nursing Center. She was greeted in Heaven by her husband Beans Carr, her beloved grandson Michael Jones, her parents, brother Chet and two sisters Mildred and Jane. Helen is survived by her son, William Carr of Glen Aubrey, his children, Brian Carr, Brandi and George Meese; her daughter and husband Donna and John Jones of Vestal and their son and his wife Jeff and Lynn Jones, Syracuse; also surviving are four great grandchildren, Sabrina, Alexis, Zachary and Loreli. Helen leaves behind her sister Doris Yates and many nieces and nephews. Helen was never without a crochet hook in her hand, making many angels, blankets and neck pillows for all her friends at Vestal Park Nursing Center. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the loving and compassionate care given to Helen by all the staff at Vestal Park Nursing Center.
A private family memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy in Helen’s memory may be made to the Alezheimer’s Association, Southern Tier Regional Office 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760 or the the charity of one’s choice.
