Helen R. Kopij

March 10, 1929 — October 8, 2012

Helen (Kopy) Kopij, went to be with her Lord, after a brief illness, Monday, October 8, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Honorata Kopy and a brother Joseph. She is survived by her husband Kazimierz (Kas); a brother John (Mary Ann), New York; cousins Justina and Richard Aron, Long Island, NY; special cousins Ken and Pam Harris, California and many other cousins and nephews in the United States and Poland. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott and a retired IBM Corp. employee. Some of her many memberships included Kopernik Society, Polish Community Center, American Legion Post 1700 Auxiliary, Endicott and was a co-founder and first president of the Bill Flynn Polka Parade. Helen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 11 am from St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at church Friday from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am.
