Irma Berzinskis

Irma Anna Berzinskis, 99, of Vestal, joined her loved ones on March 27, 2021. She was born in Riga, Latvia. Irma was predeceased by her parents, Peteris and Kristine Terins, her husband Janis Berzinskis, son Noris and brother Arnolds. She is survived by her daughter Irisa (Alvis) Arens, her daughter-in-law Brigitte Berzinskis, grandchildren Andris (Naomi) Arens, Brigita (Robert) Anderson, Brian (Lauren) Berzinskis, Nicole (Adam) Birch and great grandchilren Larisa, Benjamin, Caleb, Leigha, Brooke, and Avery. Also, nephew Janis (Jane) Terins and cousin Silvija Richters, with goddaughter Ilze Pelkaus. Irma was often found working in her flower garden or sitting outdoors, watching the wildlife that came to visit. She was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed playing games with them, especially Canasta and Mexican Train Dominoes. The children always delighted in visiting grandma, as they knew there would be fun and games. She will be greatly missed by all. She was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, N.J. and was retired from Western Electric in Kearny. Irma lived most of her life in New Jersey, where her private burial will be in the family plot at Rahway Cemetery.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date .
