James Foley

James F. Foley, 96, passed away at his home Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn (Murray) Foley; a son, John Foley; his parents and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Sarah J. Foley; a daughter, Judi Foley, Fort Mill, SC; a son and daughter in law, James and Maureen Foley Jr., Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Michelle; Sean and Tommy Foley; one great granddaughter Neala Foley; a sister and brother in law, Sharon and Roger Posthumus, Tampa, FL; a brother and sister in law Don and Carol Foley, Quaker Lake, PA; stepson and his wife Will and Grace Andres, Union Center, NY; a sister in law, Arlene Foley, Binghamton and several nieces and nephews. James had worked in several area dental labs before opening Sterling Dental Lab and later Foley Dental Lab, Endicott. After his retirement, he worked at Ed’s Dental Lab until he was 87 years old. He was a long time member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott, was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the US Army Air Corps and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer and was a business sponsor of the B.C. Open. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle and loved to play the harmonica.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10 am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
