James M. Golden

James M. Golden, 73, of Friendsville, PA. went to be with the Lord from his residence surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty (Johnson) Golden; parents, Edward and Catherine Golden; a brother, William Golden. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Karl Lail, NC; three sons and two daughters-in-law, William and Becky Jo Golden, Friendsville, PA, Robert and Susan Golden, NC, Brian Golden, UT; one grandchild, Keith and Jennifer Golden; two great grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Betty Ellen and Gary Hardy, Friendsville, PA, Anne Kelly, Binghamton, Margaret and Gerard Smith, Endicott, Catherine and Fred Fitzgerald, Endicott; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Joan Golden, Endicott; one aunt, Betty Ryan, Binghamton; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Wage, NJ, and Sara Bull, Albany; one brother-in-law, Gary Johnson, NJ; several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Friendsville, a retired employee of the United States Postal Service, a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association, a Veteran of the US Navy. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m. from St. Francis Xavier Church, Friendsville, PA. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Friendsville, Pa. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott Friday from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Jame’s memory may be made to Ascera Care Hospice, Clarks Summit, PA or St. Francis Xavier Church or the charity of one’s choice.
