James “Jim” Morris

James R. Morris passed away peacefully on October 31, 2021, at age 79. He was predeceased by his parents, Jonah and Maryanna Morris, and his brother, Tom.
Jim is survived by three sisters, Mary Simonson (Howie), Terri Ballard (Dan), and Betsi White (Bob), several nieces and nephews and their families.
Jim graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 1960 and Broome Community College. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from IBM in Fishkill, NY.
Jim loved music and singing. He will be fondly remembered for his version of the Twelve Days of Christmas with Dad at the piano.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Saturday from 2-3 pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
