Jan M. Biggs, 80, of Bradenton, FL., previously of Endicott, NY, passed away after a brief illness on September 21, 2021.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Helen Taugher, a brother, James Taugher, Jr. and her husband of 29 years, Robert C. Biggs.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Jill Lavin, of Endicott and James and Denise Lavin, of Vestal; four grandsons Keenan, Erik, Austin and Brandon Lavin; two step-daughters Mimi and Mark Glancy, of Arizona and Bridget Biggs and wife, Sindy Britton, of Arizona; and two step-granddaughters Samantha and Kaitlyn.
Jan was born in Lenoxville, PA and graduated from Harford High School in 1959. In her ealy years she drove school bus and worked for Matco, then retired from IBM Owego in 1996 and finished her career in Florida working with her friend, Sue, for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jan enjoyed many Florida trips with her life long friend, Del Visingard, and playing Bingo up and down the East coast and winning Easter bonnet contests. Jan and Bob enjoyed snowmobile trips and spending summers
at Sandy Pond in Pulaski, NY with Chuck and Marge Briggs. Jan was a beloved mother and grandmother. She enjoyed coming back to NY to visit family, especially her four grandsons, and many life-long friends. Jan loved people and was easy to talk to. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 15 from 3-5 PM at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Private Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
