Janice Mckitrick

Janice Y. (Corson) McKitrick, 80, was born May 21, 1933 and went to be with the Lord at her home Monday, March 10, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents; Jasper and Anna Corson; brother and sister in law, Kenneth and Hilda Corson; son, Dennis McKitrick and grandson, Seth McKitrick. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Theron (Doyle) McKitrick; a son and daughter in law, Darwin and Robin McKitrick, Maine; four grandchildren, Jesse (Maggie) Minarovich; Melanie McKitrick; Stephen and Nikki Sabol; four great grandchildren, Christopher Underwood, who Janice and Doyle raised as a son; Victoria Cluff, Trever and Blake Minarovich; Mary Minarovich, mother of grandson, Jesse; a sister, Sandra White, Maine; several nieces, nephews; other relatives, lifelong friends, Anna Mae Rude and Betty and Leo Welch, and her loyal, loving companion, Nikki. Janice was a member of First Baptist Church, Maine, and was retired from Maine Memorial School with 30 years of service. She was a member of the Nanticoke Valley Historical Society and the Southern Tier Antique Gas and Steam Engine Association. Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to us all and she will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am from First Baptist Church of Maine, 16 Church Street, Maine, with the Reverend Ben Winn, Pastor of her church officiating. Burial will be in Maine Cemetery.
