Jay “Butch” Conroy

Jay W. Conroy, 72 of Conklin, died at Lourdes Hospital after a short illness (not covid related) on Tuesday November 24, 2020.
He is now dancing with the love of his life in heaven, Rose Conroy.
He was also predeceased by his parents, Jay and Clara Conroy, in laws Carl and Celia Button, grandmother Violet Lawton, and a brother Fred Hanyon.
He is survived by his son Jay Conroy Jr.; his brothers Ed Conroy, Jack (Cindy) Conroy; his sisters Violet (Arthur) Paugh, Mary (Frank) Plonski, Lillian (Mark) Biefeldt, Clara (Kevin) Cole. his sister in laws Ruth Hanyon, Luana Goff, Carol (Ronnie) Long, Joanne Button, Mary Jane Wilbur, Eloise (Eugene) Bennett, Paula (Jim) Kenny, Edna Fitch; brother in laws Richard Button, Carl Button; also several nieces and nephews.
Jay was a devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with family; baking, cruising, camping, and sharing stories and laughter.
Due to the covid restrictions there will be a private service at Allen Memorial Home on Tuesday December 1, 2020. Public is invited to attend the burial in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:00 following the service.
