Jean Briggs

Jean M. (Brown) Briggs, 85, of Endicott, NY, passed away at Ideal Senior Living Center Friday, November 3, 2017 after a long illness. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert L. Briggs; parents, John D. and F. Ruth Brown; and sisters, Cora B. Radcliff and Beverly M. Brown. She is survived by her five children, Judy L. (Michael) Knight of Largo, FL, Paul R. Briggs and E. Miriam Satossky of Mechanicsburg, PA, Joan M. (Mark) Bowers of Binghamton, NY, Carol R. (David) Brunick of Middlebury, CT, and John R. Briggs of Tempe, AZ; twelve grandchildren, Paul and Christian (Andrea) Knight, Sarah (Steven) Anzalone, Amy (Bryan) Turkel, and Christopher Briggs, Joshua and Rachel Bowers, Lindsey and Emily Brunick, Alexa, Evan (Brooke) and Eric Briggs; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail, and Olivia Knight and Knox Briggs; siblings, John D. (Dorothy) Brown Jr., Jerome D. (Ann) Brown, and Gregory W. (Lisa) Brown; also several nieces and nephews. Jean was a devoted and loving wife and mother; her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Services will be held Friday, November 10, 10:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will immediately follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 9 am until service time at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association. Jean’s children also wish to thank the wonderfully dedicated nurses, aides, and staff at Ideal Senior Living for the compassionate care shown their mother during the final months of her life.
