Jean Jackson

Jean E. Jackson RN, BSN, 60, of Johnson City, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 26, 2013. She is predeceased by her father, J. Richard Jackson, brother, David Jackson and brother-in-law, Phillip George. She is survived by her sons, Robert Jackson Wescott, William Jackson Wescott and their brother, TR Wescott; mother, Jean P. Jackson; brothers and sisters, Linda J. Battaglini, Christine George, Richard and Cynthia Jackson, Fred and Carol Jackson and Elaine J. Hoffer; nieces and nephews, Cara Schatz and Adam Battaglini; Peter and Brian George; Jamie and Carly Jackson; David Jackson, Jessica Stiff and Catella Visser; Erin, Cory and Sarah Hoffer; and Bobby and Billy’s father, Terry Wescott. Jean was a highly respected Registered Nurse at Wilson Hospital for over 35 years, where she worked on North Tower 2 Neurology Suite and had many close friends and colleagues. She was a phenomenal cook and baker and had a creative way of celebrating the holidays. She was very close to and mentored many of her son’s friends where her doors were always open for them.
Funeral Services for Jean will be held on Monday at 12 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Deacon Thomas Harley of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home on Sunday from 2-5 pm.
