Jean Lenzo

Jean Lenzo, 91 of Endicott, N.Y. passed away at Binghamton General Hospital on January 12, 2024, after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Sebastian Lenzo, infant daughter Mary Celia, son Anthony Lenzo, son in law Joseph Greco, and brothers Carmine and Mario Mirra. Jean is survived by her loving children, Gloria(Lenzo) Greco, Gerard(Diana) Lenzo, John Lenzo, daughter-in-law Denise Lenzo, and brother Joseph Mirra. Grandchildren include: Jamie(Shanda) Greco, Christopher (Melissa) Greco, Nicholas (Jamie Leigh) Greco, David(Noy) Lenzo, Michael (Ashley) Lenzo, Felicia (Shoshana) Lenzo, Dominic (Jennifer) Lenzo. She was a special Nonna to her 11 great-grandchildren: Macayla, CJ, Izzy, Nico, Lia, Cecilia, Yvonne, Suzy, Alexia, Robbie, Bella as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jean was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Church, Endicott and a life member of the Daughters of Columbus Lodge - Sons of Italy. Jean was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School, class of 1950. She was an amazing wife, mom, Grandma, and Nonna who put her family above all else. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage on Cayuga Lake reading and crocheting. She was an excellent cook and baker, She was also an excellent role model and dedicated to her faith. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Gehring and Amela, the excellent staff at UHS and BGH Krembs unit for their compassionate care, and Renee Willson and staff at Southern Trer Physical Therapy.
A Funeral Mass for Jean will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 300 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Church from 9:30 AM until Mass time at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Jean’s memory may be made to Mercy House or St. Anthony’s Food Panty.
