Jean McMahon, 98 of Endwell passed away peacefully in her home, Sunday, October 8, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, John C. McMahon; parents, Harold and Dorothy Wilbur and sister-in-law, Kathleen Wilbur. Jean was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister to her family, her daughters, Judy (Bill) Mooney and Pat (Mike) Harder, all of Endicott; two grandchildren, Mark (Joanna) Mooney, Scarborough, ME and Patti-Jo Mooney, Johnson City; great grandson, Aaron, Scarborough, ME; brother, Harold Wilbur, Wilmington, DE; several nieces; nephews; cousins and dear friends including Marcia Donovan; Joe and Rosemary Sarrica and Dorothy Killeen. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Endicott and was one of the first members of Union Volunteer Emergency Squad. She retired from Wilson Hospital after working there as a receptionist. Some of her enjoyments in life were watching the New York Yankees and traveling with her many friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 12 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend James Rice, Pastor of her church officiating. There will be a private burial at Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott . The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Friday from 10 am until service time at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to First Baptist Church, 1406 Monroe Street, Endicott, NY 13760 or the Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.
