Jean Pickett

Jean K. Pickett, 72, of Vestal, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday March 15, 2017. Jean was born in Schenectady, NY and moved to Vestal in 1958. She lived next door to the love of her life, Roy, and they were married in 1966. Jean was involved with Vestal Little League and the Vestal Youth Football League when their sons were growing up. Jean was an agent in various insurance agencies in the triple cities area and Insurance Women’s Association until her retirement. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy; her parents, Lula Mae and Edwin Peterson; sister, Barbara; mother and father-in-law, Rita and Gilbert Pickett. She is survived by her loving sons, Robert (Tanya) and Ronald (Liz); seven grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Jacob, Kendra, Tyler, Samantha, Collin, Kayla and Leila; great- granddaughter, Aanya. She is also survived by her twin sister, Joan (Bill) Shumin; brother in law, Charles Harvey; sister in law, Mary (Doug) Woolsey; niece, Pamela; nephews, Christopher, Scott and Kevin.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 12 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Pastor Dan Eddings officiating. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from 10 am until service time at 12 pm.
