Jerial’s family moved to the Binghamton, NY area in 1983. Jerial spent 20 years in Houston, TX before returning to the Southern Tier. He is survived by his husband, Gregory Helton-Knight of Endicott, NY; his mother and stepfather, Janice and Joe Smith of Endicott, NY; grandmother Dorothy Clark of Memphis, TN; father Jerial Knight, sister Cherri Kubisty, niece Scarlett Osbourne and nephew Victor Osbourne of Texas; chosen family members Eric Roland, Barbara Anne Rodrigo, Carolyn Secor and Lisa Boulas; and Artemis, his canine daughter.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and caregivers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, who cared for Jerial for the past 12 years. A very special thank you to Dr. Elena Pentsova of Memorial Sloan Kettering Neuro-Oncology.
A Celebration of Life event is currently being planned for February to honor Jerial.
