Jerome T. Hurley

Jerome (Jerry) Hurley, 88, of Endicott, died peacefully Wednesday, September 26, 2012, with Eileen, his beloved wife of 60 years at his side. He was predeceased by his son Jerome in 2007; parents Robert and Loretta; brothers Robert and James and a sister Betty Kuenze. Besides his wife Eileen, he is survived by a sister in law Joan Hurley, Pennsylvania; several nieces; nephews; cousins and special friends Mark and Carole Carey, Endicott. He was a member of St. Ambrose Church, Endicott, and served as an Altar Server for funerals, for many years. Jerry was a retired teacher in the Maine-Endwell School District and was a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the US Navy. The family would like to thank the staff of One Ross at Lourdes Hospital, and the Hospice Team at Susquehanna Nursing Center, Johnson City.Funeral Services will be held Monday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 east Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Sunday from 2-5 pm.
