Joan Meyers

Joan C. Meyers, 86, of Endicott N.Y. passed away peacefully Sunday July 22, 2018 at Susquehanna Nursing Home, Johnson City NY. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Clute; son, Edward Meyers; Son-in-law, Charles Clute Sr.; grandchildren, Christopher Maxson, Amanda Moore, (Benjamin Inman), Katelin (Nick) Simpson, Nicholas Meyers; great-grandchildren, Charlie Maxson, Allen Moore, Andrea Inman, and Nicholas Inman; ex husband and good friends, Charles (Joanne) Meyers. She is predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Emma Tibbetts (Boardman) both of Boston Massachusetts; brothers, David Tibbetts, Richard Tibbetts, Peter Tibbetts; sister, Marie Richardson (Tibbetts), and her 1st Child, Charles W. Meyers Jr. Joan was born in Boston, Massachusetts then moved to Endicott N.Y. She worked at Endicott-Johnson Shoe factory and then IBM where she retired from. After retirement Joan enjoyed traveling, reading, visiting with friends, and taking naps in the sun on her porch. She was always there to listen to anyone who stopped by. She had a very caring soul, beautiful smile, incredible sense of humor, and contagious laugh. Nothing meant more to her than children and grandchildren, even if they weren’t directly related to her. Her home was always open to anyone and she loved everyone. A very special thanks to the staff at Susquehanna Nursing Home for the months of amazing care, compassion, and love towards our Mother. Thank you also to the staff of Lourdes hospital for their care, Family friend Laurie Calenzo for her help and being a good friend to Joan. Thank you to everyone for their help, and support this past year.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday 11 am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Mark Kimpland, Pastor of Endwell United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Friday from 9 am until service time at 11 am.
