Affiliations: JoAnn was an active member of the Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. She was a current member of the Altar Rosary Society and served as past President. JoAnn was a team leader of two soup kitchen teams, team leader of a funeral luncheon team and organized their annual Seder Meal for many years. She was always available to take on any task asked of her within her parish and did so willingly and with grace. JoAnn retired from the UE School District where she worked as a bus driver for many years. JoAnn adored her family and cherished all of the celebrations in their lives. She actively participated in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities, rooting on their sporting events, attending their music endeavors, babysitting and ensuring they had transportation when needed. When they had no one to lead the activity mom would always volunteer playing softball coach, religions education teacher, girls scouts, whatever was needed. Family and friends meant the most to her. Life was always a party. We would like to thank the staff on the Transitional Care Unit at BGH for their loving care shown to our mother throughout her illness. Your compassion was truly appreciated.

The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Tuesday evening from 4-6 pm.
