John Doraski

John Robert Doraski of Endicott, NY passed away peacefully to join our Lord on May 10, 2024. Survived by fiancé Jeannette Gonya and her children Jackie and Joey. Son of John and Teresa Doraski. Brother of Debbie Blakeney, Bobby Doraski (Sharisse), Donna and Roger Greene and Denise and Scott Jones. Uncle of Matt and Kelly Blakeney, Jen and Matt Coolbaugh, Melissa Blakeney (Brandon), Jessica Snyder (Barry), Daniel and Brittany Snyder and Kira Jones. Great nieces and nephews include: Ethan, Noah, Harper, Parker, Grayson, Cameron, Austin, Emmie, and Beep.
John was a graduate of Vestal High School and a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, in Vestal. John was a Hazmat certified CDL operator, employed at Upstate Shredding Weitsman Recycling in Owego. He achieved membership in the Bill Mack Million Mile Club.
He was very passionate about his work which enabled him to traverse across the continental US. John had a “need for speed” - fast cars, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles and ATVs - which were always kept in pristine condition. Should a vehicle ever break down, he was the man for the job.
John was a loving, generous, kind hearted man dedicated to family, animals (including strays), physical fitness and always was looking for a prank to pull - a true “kid at heart”. John never stopped moving, never stopped living and never stopped loving. A resourceful man with a heart of gold that will be dearly missed.
