John Legge, age 59 of Endwell NY, peacefully passed away, surrounded by his wife and daughters on Friday, October 1, 2021 after a courageous battle with Cancer. He is predeceased by his Grandparents, Querino and Mildred Legge, George and Ella Farrell, his Mother in Law, Agnes Sanguinito, and dog and his best pal Bailey. He is survived by his Wife, Lisa, daughters Danielle (Mike) Garner and Ashley; Grandchildren, Kenzie and Liam; parents Fred and Mary Legge; Father in Law, Salvatore Sanguinito; Sister, Lisa Fiacco (Greg); brothers Dave Legge (Stacy); Steve and many in-laws, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
John was a Seton graduate of 1980, as well as graduated from BCC with a degree in Criminal Justice. John was employed with Home Central, Vestal NY, and previously worked for Lowes, Grossmans and Kmart, where he met his wife of 37 years.
John enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren; he was a lifelong fan of Penn State and the NY Giants, and enjoyed music, especially ELO and Queen. Among many things, he loved the Adirondacks and going to Hunting Camp with the guys.
The last three years brought many obstacles, but John fought each day with strength and humor.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 11 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 207 Hayes Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Sunday from 2-5 pm. Please wear Penn State, Blue/White to honor John’s love of Nittany Lions.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in John’s name to the Leukemia Society.
