John Roma

John L. Roma of Endicott died at his residence surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Edith (Dellapenta) Roma; his niece Monica Borders Schwarz; parents Angelo and Faustina Roma; sisters and brothers-in-law, Filomena (Mana) Battaglini, Angelina and Victor Angotta, Paula and Fred Pezzulla and brother and sister-in-law Tony and Antoinette Roma. He is survived by a special niece and nephew, Karen and Tom Wike; great- nieces and great-nephews, Jacqueline and “good buddy” Damian, Leah and Dorian (Semper Fi), Tommy John, Traci and Geoff, Crystal and Keith; and a beautiful great-great-niece Harper Marie. He was a retired employee of the Union-Endicott School District and a life member of the PTA. John was a veteran of World War II where he was a Corporal in the U.S. Marines serving in the Mediterranean on the aircraft carrier USS Midway. In Rome he went to see the Pope and had the honor to kiss his ring.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
