John Ruehlman

d. July 24, 2015

John, at age 55, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly early Friday at his home from natural causes. He was predeceased by his father, John G. Ruehlman, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Barbara L. Ruehlman (Endwell), his brothers Patrick A. Ruehlman (Endwell) and Eric F. Ruehlman (Port Crane) and his sister Pam Payne (St. Louis, MO). He is also survived by his nephew Andrew Payne and wife Silvia, with their daughter Ingrid (Moab, UT). He leaves behind his Uncle Dick and Aunt Pat Leonard, Aunt Suzie Methvin and several cousins. Also, John and Marla Tomsey who provided years of care and support. As a dedicated 20 year member of Johnson City Unity Lodge #970, John loved being a Mason and was a recent winner of the Distinguished Service Award. He also loved riding his bike and supporting M-E Spartan football. He was a gentle and happy soul who overcame many challenges, being one of those lucky few to have his star shine most brightly in his later years. His family would like to thank all of his friends who welcomed John into their lives and inspired him, encouraged him, and laughed with him. He cherished all of you.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10 am at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott Monday from 4-6 pm. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held 5:45 pm by the Johnson City Unity Lodge #970.
