Joni Lynn Buchta

Joni Lynn (Frisbie) Buchta, 58, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Vestal, NY, transitioned to a new realm on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 26 years, Anthony J. Buchta, Jr., their son Nicholas, their daughter Amanda, her sister and brother-in-law Wendy and Mark Mastrogiovanni, her nephew (and Godson) and his wife, Tony and Kelly Mastrogiovanni, niece Nicole Mastrogiovanni, her brother and sister-in-law Rick and Alison Frisbie, niece and her husband Katie and Matt Simek, nephews and their wives Jon and Johanna Frisbie, Jesse and Kylee Frisbie, nephew Michael Frisbie, and her mother and step-father Eva and Ed Kretsch. Joni was predeceased by her father Richard C. Frisbie and her mother and father-in-law Irene and Anthony J. Buchta Sr. Joni had a rare disease called Amyloidosis. There is no cure and diagnosis is often made too late. Her strength and courage this past year was a testament to how much she wanted to stay with her family. If you knew Joni, you know her children were her world.
The Family will welcome friends on Saturday, July 15 from 1 to 3 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott, with a Time of Remembrance being held at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, Joni’s family would welcome donations to support her children’s education.
