Joseph N. Liberto

Joseph N. Liberto of Vestal, NY age 94 passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord at Mercy House on April 1, 2025.
He was predeceased by his parents Saverio and Filomena Liberto, his brother Sam J. Liberto Jr., his brother in law Mario
Cianciosi, and sister in law Connie Gance.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Marion Liberto; Son Joseph (Molly) Liberto, daughter Shari(Michael) George, daughter Yvonne(Charles) Smolinsky. His grandchildren Allison Miller, Keith Messenger, Eric (Cara) George, Vanessa George, Reilly Liberto, Vincent (Alyssa) Liberto and Quinn Liberto. Great-Grandchildren; Wesley, Jared and Paige Miller, Alma, Rosalie and Carmine George and Elaine Liberto; sister Marie Cianciosi and nephews Nicholas and Robert Cianciosi, and several cousins.
After working 34 years at IBM between the Procurement Dept and being in Management, Joe went on to enjoy working for Wegmans for 33 years. He was a devoted member of Calvary's Love Assembly of God Church where he had various duties in the ministry. Joe was also a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants, Notre Dame and Penn State football.
Joe was a big lover of music, especially the big band era. You would always hear him either singing or whistling around the house. Family was a big part of Joe's life. He was the happiest when his family was all around him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to thank Dr. Burford, Guthrie Hospice, Elderwood at Vestal, and Mercy house for their kindness and care.
Funeral Services for Joe will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at 12 pm at Calvary's Love Assembly of God, 1315 Reynolds Road, Johnson City. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 am until Service time at 12 pm.
