Josephine Reed

With the heaviest of hearts, we mourn the loss of our beloved Josephine Reed.
Josephine passed peacefully in her sleep on the morning of February 20th, 2022, at the age of 96 years young.
Josephine is predeceased by her husband Sam, sisters Anna, Mary, and Dominica, her niece Delores, her nephew Phillip, her daughter in law Joan, and granddaughter Elizabeth.
Josephine is survived by her daughters Maureen and Doreen, her sons Shaun and Terence, her grandchildren Natalie, her favorite grandson Tyler, and Eric, her son in law Tim, as well as her kitties Big boy and little boy.
Josephine was a dedicated member of St. Ambrose Church in Endicott.
Josephine enjoyed a simple life filled with family, friends, coffee, and sweets. She spoke often of her years working in the Endicott-Johnson shoe factory where she where she met her husband, Sam. Her passion for writing was shared through her many letters written to the local newspaper. Her smile and loving energy touched all who knew her and stayed with her through her entire life.
Josephine will be greatly missed by all and her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 9:30 am at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Thursday from 4-6 pm.
